We have houses situated in town. All facilities are close by (restaurants, petrol station, resort, dam
wall, etc.) The dam wall is only a 3-minute drive away. The houses are fully furnished with full kitchens
and bedding is supplied.
Make sure to pack your “braaivleis” and sit around the fire to relax.
Gariep Dam is situated about halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town. The way to Port Elizabeth/East London also goes over the dam wall. It is an ideal stopover on your trip or a great place to hold your family reunion.
For those that stay longer, there are sights to see and activities to keep them busy, for example, boat
cruises on the dam, dam wall tours, nature reserve tours, tennis, swimming and other activities at
the resort.
November to January is also a very busy time with lots of gliders that take off from the
aerodrome at Gariep Dam.
